We had a nice crowd at the Home meet yesterday. Both the boys and girls had great showings. The girls swept the top five spots. Congratulations to Corinne Bulter on a great win. Way to go. The boys had five of the top 10 in their race. What a finish we had in the boys race. Christian Howland and Darren Wise racing for second place, ran nearly identical times, with second going to Chriatian.

Friday Night Under the Lights
Let's don't forget Friday night Sept 4th, the team runs at halftime of Guerin's Football game. You know there will be a big crowd there supporting Guerin, we need as many Cougar supporters as we can get, to be there yelling.
As I understand it as of now, Cougar fans will not be charged admission. The girls race will begin with approxiately 8 minutes left in the first half have of the ballgame. The boy will start with 4 mins left. The race will include portions of the high school track, with the runners finishing in front of the football crowd.

**Possible New Meet added to Schedule **
"We are awaiting an answer from the Scecina AD, but it appears we will add a home meet on 9/9 at 4:45 vs. Scecina.
It would be two races. All girl runners in one race, and all boys in another. Maybe we’ll get finished before GYFL."

Richmond Invitational
Well, the weather wasn't beautiful at Earlham College, but it could have been worse. Anyone attending the Greenfield-New Castle Football game Friday night can attest to that. At Richmond, the boys were sporting their "Retro" uniforms. They were led by Christian Howland's 14th place finish. The Boys finished 7th as a team. The Girls did a little better finishing 3rd. They were led by Corinne Butler's 4th place finish.
Next up is the Pendleton Heights Invitational. This is always a tough meet, with a lot of State Ranked teams participating. It also gives the teams a change to go head to head against conference and county foes. See you all there.

One Down
First meet at Beech Grove is past us now. Team looked strong in both Girls and Boys. It was a seven team field, and unofficially (meaning this is what my son tells me) the Girls won their team competition, and the Boys finished second in theirs. All-in-all, a good showing for the first time out the gate.
I will post results as soon as I can get them.
See you all at Earlham College, Saturday, for the Richmond Invitational.
